Elaine Lutz, DVM
Dr. Elaine Lutz grew up in Clark, N.J. Her interest in agriculture
led her to study Animal Science at Virginia Tech before earning
her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University
in 1983. Upon receiving her D.V.M., Dr. Lutz completed an
equine internship at Georgetown Equine Hospital in Charlottesville.
She continued to practice equine medicine and surgery in the
Charlottesville area until 1985 prior to moving to Warrenton.
Dr. Lutz worked locally as a general practitioner and gradually
transitioned to an exclusively small animal veterinarian.
She opened Piedmont Pets Veterinary Care in April 2002.
Dr. Lutz is actively involved with the Fauquier SPCA, serving
as a board member since 1986. She is married to Rick Miller
and they have two children, two horses, two dogs and a cat.

Traci Sandberg,
DVM
Dr. Sandberg is a
1997 graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary
Medicine. In 2003, she moved to Virginia and started
seeing appointments at Piedmont Pets. Dr. Sandberg
lives in Nokesville with her husband, Brian, and
their two daughters, three horses, four dogs and
four cats.

Devon Dennis,
Licensed Veterinary Technician
Devon Dennis has been a licensed technician
since 1999. She graduated from University of Georgia
and interned at Georgetown University. In 2005
Devon returned to Warrenton to work for Dr. Lutz
and enjoys being back where she grew up. Devon's
favorite past time is spending time with her Bernese
Mountain dog named Kahlua.

Betsy Raich,
Receptionist
Betsy Raich has worked with Dr.
Lutz for nine years. She and husband Bruce,
who met while students at the University
of Florida, moved to Warrenton 13 years
ago after he retired from a career in the
USMC. They have two grown children, Katie
and Andrew, a Labrador named Jeb and a cat
named Felix.

Kim Lomax,
Veterinary Technician

Kim Lomax has
worked with Dr. Lutz for five years after
first bringing her own pets to Piedmont
Pets as a client. She is currently taking
courses to become a medical laboratory technician.
She has two cats, Booger and Maggie.

Kelly Graves,
Veterinary Technician
Kelly Graves has worked as an assistant
to Dr. Lutz since 2007. She loves working with
animals and is interested in becoming a licensed
veterinary technician. She has one cat named Jack
and one very talkative Chihuahua named Scooby.
