Dr. Carolyn Olech - Veterinarian

${name}

Dr. Carolyn Olech grew up in Northern Virginia, attending undergraduate and veterinary schools in Southern California.

She could not wait to return to Virginia to her family and roots. Dr. Olech performed extensive work with government working canines that deployed around the world, but she missed the community connection; thus, returning to local general practice.

Besides her passion for working dogs, Doc Carolyn values the experiences that come from the bond between pets and their families; and throughout the pet’s entire life journey. Additionally, she continues to work as a Veterinary Medical Officer under the National Veterinary Response Team’s Working Dog Task Force and Disaster Teams. This still allows her to realize the passions of community veterinary practice and working dog medicine.

Dr. Olech is committed to family and serving others. She believes in giving back. This is evident in her volunteer services with Hero’s Bridge and Paw Patrol, which are veteran and community focused, including making therapy dog visits to aged veterans.

Life has a funny way of coming full circle. It is only fitting that Dr. Olech should join the Piedmont Pets Veterinary Care (PPVC) team. Her first job out of veterinary school was working at Piedmont Pets Veterinary Care under then practice owner, Dr. Elaine Lutz. Because PPVC is where Dr. Olech got her start as a veterinarian, it feels like being home once again.
